Doctors Speak On Dangers Of Getting Dentistry Work Done By Self-Proclaimed Veneer Tech: ‘This Is Highly Illegal’
Don’t let your hustle put you behind bars!
The internet is currently going crazy reacting to the rising profession of veneer technicians. And we’re using the term “profession” very loosely as there technically is no legal way to become a veneer tech. Unlike a dentist who earns an actual degree after attending school for years, a veneer tech is given an unofficial certificate after a few days (or hours) of a training course that normally costs between $2,000 and $6,000. As you can imagine, there are countless issues with receiving any type of medical care from someone who is not a doctor, and many medical professionals are using their platforms to urge the public to think twice before booking with a veneer tech.
Speaking out against the “crazy” phenomenon, an orthodontist, who goes by thebentist across his socials, said,
“They are basically tricking other people into thinking that they’re professionals, to go get veneers at a cheaper price. Obviously, there are a slew of problems with this. …One of which, this is highly illegal. Like, seriously federally illegal to be impersonating a person of dental care.”
He added,
“Because newsflash, I don’t know that I need to tell you this but, there are a lot of things that could go wrong. …How did we get here in the United States of America, I’m so confused. We literally couldn’t figure out free health care for so long and now we’re going to backyard Brandy to go ahead and get our veneers and braces and everything else done, it’s wild.

Another dentist (Just_SmileWi on TikTok) weighed in and said,
“I’m really upsat about all of this because I spent eight years in school to become a dentist and to see people like this misleading people is really hard for me to watch.”
He added,
“As a dentist or not a dentist, you can not train other people to do dentistry without being in an accredited university with the oversight of a practicing dentist. And to become an accredited program, it takes years and years and a whole lot of money.”

Social Media Users Rally To Boycott Hair Care Brand EBIN New York After Ex-Employee Recalls Racial Discrimination & Being ‘Treated So Horribly’
Looks like hair care company EBIN New York will be doing some damage control soon.
Social media users are currently calling for a boycott of the brand after allegations of racial discrimination from an ex-Black employee went viral online.
A woman named Samiyah (TikTok handle @Miylifestyle) shared her experience working for the brand this past Saturday (April 20th). In a 4-part series, she talked about being the only Black employee in corporate for the company, which heavily markets its products to Black women, claiming she often faced ostracizing and racial discrimination. She said employees would have side conversations in Korean to exclude her and at times would talk about her. She also accused leadership of intentionally leaving her out of team events.
Speaking on her working conditions, she said,
“I was treated so horribly you guys, I would go to the bathroom everyday and cry.”

Samiyah detailed several alarming incidents she (allegedly) endured while working for EBIN, including having to stay in a bad motel separate from the rest of the staff during a company trip. She also claimed that one of her co-workers even admitted to her that people in the company were being racist. When she took the situation to HR, apparently her complaints were shared amongst the entire company and seemingly angered the company’s CEO, which ultimately prompted her departure. She explained:
“What really put the icing on the cake you guys was when the CEO…he stops a meeting…and he says ‘Samiyah’, [snaps], and points to the door…he said something really fast like ‘you don’t need to be in here’…he kicks me out, and I just went back to my desk because I was very confused,”

She continued:
“A couple hours go by…I went up to him and I asked him ‘Hey can we talk.’ He said ‘No’…I asked him why and he said ‘I don’t need to speak to you, man,’ that’s how he said it…I guess he felt some type of way about me going to complain to HR and HR telling him about these things. “
She said the following day she was wrongfully terminated for what she was told was due to her low performance. As social media users caught wind of the TikToker’s story, many began urging others to boycott the brand. Critics argued that their poor treatment of their sole Black employee shouldn’t be an oversight seeing as though a large part of their consumers are Black women. Others suggested the woman lawyer up and commented that they’ve had similar workplace experiences.
As one user commented, EBIN has since deactivated the comments section on their social media pages. It does not seem that they’ve responded to their former employee’s claims at this time.

Baltimore Athletic Director Arrested & Charged After Using A.I. To Make Racist Recording Of School’s Principal
A.I. is a powerful tool.
According to reports, Thursday morning (Apr. 25), former athletic director Dazhon Darien, 31, was arrested and charged with disrupting school activities after using artificial intelligence to impersonate Pikesville High School’s Principal Eric Eiswert. In January, audio surfaced online of a voice eerily similar to Principal Eiswert making racist and disheartening remarks about Black and Jewish students at the Baltimore County school.
The voice clip, which has since gone viral, made comments on “ungrateful Black kids who can’t test their way out of a paper bag.” The recording also said,
“And if I have to get one more complaint from one more Jew in this community, I’m going to join the other side.”
After the audio was released, an investigation was started and Eiswert was removed from the school. He continued to maintain his innocence. However, it’s said that police were sent to watch his home as he received multiple threats online over the harsh remarks.
Following the investigation, it was determined that the voice did not belong to Eiswert but was created by A.I., and Darien is suspected to be behind the entire ordeal. Authorities wrote in charging documents,
“The audio clip … had profound repercussions. It not only led to Eiswert’s temporary removal from the school but also triggered a wave of hate-filled messages on social media and numerous calls to the school. The recording also caused significant disruptions for the PHS staff and students.”
According to the documents, Darien used the school’s network several times in December and January in search of OpenAI tools.
In addition, the docs said he used “Large Language Models” that practice “deep learning, which involves pulling in vast amounts of data from various sources on the internet, can recognize text inputted by the user, and produce conversational results.”
Police also tied the email that initially distributed the recording back to Darien. As for the reason for the A.I. audio, it’s alleged that Darien was angry his contract for his position as the school’s athletic director was not renewed. It’s also important to note that he was investigated for theft last year for allegedly paying his roommate and another person to help coach sports programs at the school, positions they never actually held.
He was also reportedly charged with theft and retaliating against a witness in connection to the unapproved payments.

The TV and movie star revealed that she’s suffered 8 miscarriages in the past, seemingly due to the uterus disorder, with the most recent being just a year ago.

Tiffany Haddish, 44, spoke about her pregnancy loss during a recent interview with Janine Rubenstein from PEOPLE. Sharing her experience, she stated:
“It’s so f—ing devastating…Every time I find out I’m pregnant, I’m like, ‘Don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t do nothin’,”

“Even if I don’t really want [the baby], I still try to give it a chance.”
“It’s like, I won’t know why there’s so much blood. And then I go to the doctor and they’re like, ‘Oh, you’re miscarrying right now. And I just D&C (dilation and curettage, a procedure to remove pregnancy tissue).”

Along with the mental toll of her losses, Tiffany Haddish also spoke on the physical pain she’s endured. The entertainer explained that she’s had a history of excruciating menstrual cycles and was eventually told it was because of endometriosis, which also commonly causes infertility. She stated:
“I’m pretty sure the devil is real…the first day of my period, no matter what, the devil goes into overdrive. I feel like my life gets turned upside down,”
She continued:
“The pain is crazy…It feels like somebody is kicking me in my back.”
Haddish went on to state that at first, doctors thought an ultrasound of her uterus showed that the organ had a dent in it. Recently, however, she learned it was actually the “endo hanging down.” She added that she’s since had a procedure to shave the extra layers down and remove any present fibroids.

The former reality TV star posted a video this morning (Apr. 25) to Instagram apologizing to the couple for comments made by her friend during a recent live stream. The friend said,
“Mendeecees has been cheating on Yandy since they got on ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ and I know a couple of women that he was looking at. …Let me tell you something, Yandy ain’t exciting him no more. …I’ve gotten calls from people on the show and I’ve gotten calls from people in the streets. Yandy, Mendeecees is cheating on you.”
In her apology video, Alexis Skyy took accountability for the allegations shared by her friend and said,
“I wanted to just address what happened on my live last night and take accountability for what happened. First and foremost, I want to apologize to Mendeecees and Yandy about speaking on their marriage.”
She continued,
“I Know I didn’t really say anything but being present in that situation is not okay. I’ve been working on myself for the past two years, I don’t even partake in things like this. We were on live having a fun time just talking about different topics, I was very unaware that this topic was going to come up and I was in shock.”

A new movie starring Eddie Murphy and Keke Palmer has temporarily suspended production.
According to reports, several crew members on the set were injured recently after a car and a truck collided with one another, halting the film’s production.
The movie, titled The Pick Up, is reportedly an Amazon MGM studio production. A person close to the project confirmed that multiple staffers were wounded on the Georgia set on Monday (April 22nd) when a truck “locked up” and hit another vehicle. The source stated that injuries included bumps, bruises, and broken bones and that two of the crew members had to be hospitalized, though they’re expected to make a full recovery. It’s noted that none of the movie’s stars, including Eddie Murphy, Keke Palmer, nor Pete Davidson were present when the incident occurred.

The source added that all safety precautions had been taken and the scene was well rehearsed, ultimately attributing the incident to a “freak accident”
They reportedly stated:
“It was a completely freak accident… It wasn’t even a complicated or dangerous stunt.”

“Unfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned and several members of the crew were injured as a result. We are still in the process of gathering facts on what happened and why, but first and foremost our thoughts are with those who are recovering…The well-being of the entire crew and cast is our first priority, and we will continue to insist on the highest industry standards of safety while filming. All safety precautions were reviewed prior to and monitored during the shoot.”

Laurence Fishburne’s Daughter Montana Sentenced To 2 Years Probation After 2022 Arrest For Allegedly Slapping A Police Officer
Laurence Fishburne’s daughter Montana Fishburne has been sentenced after she was arrested and charged in 2022 for battery on a police officer in Florida.
Montana Fishburne, 32, received 24 months of probation after pleading no contest to the felony earlier this month. She first pleaded not guilty. Montana Fishburne also has to complete a 13-week anger management program, according to Us Weekly.
Her attorney Michael Grieco said of her plea,
“There is no admission of guilt and no conviction and the case will be sealed and put in the rearview. And young Ms. Fishburne will be able to move on with her life.”
On the day of her arrest in January 2022, Montana called the police claiming that a former boyfriend was stalking and threatening her. Once cops got there, Montana was allegedly the only person present.

She’s accused of standing on the sidewalk while screaming at police “that no one helped her.” She allegedly walked toward officers as they told her “multiple times to back up.”
She then allegedly smacked an officer on his head which led to him experiencing swelling and redness on his ear.
This isn’t the first time Montana has had legal woes. Back in 2017, she was taken into custody for a DUI and three misdemeanors, however, she posted $2,500 bond a day later. She was also arrested for a DUI in Florida in 2020, before getting released on bond. theJasmineBRAND exclusively reported at the time that she pleaded not guilty.
In her personal life, Montana has famously starred in adult films. She said back in 2010 that she knew it was something she wanted to do since she was a teenager.
She added,
“I absolutely didn’t make this movie to hurt my parents or bring shame to my family name. This was something that I wanted to do and I think that, in time, my father will support me in my decision.”
She noted that her mother, Laurence Fishburne’s ex-wife and actress Hajna O. Moss has been a source of support.
“[My mom] just tells me that she loves me and that whatever decisions that I make, she wants me to be sure about it. And I am.”

Tyler Perry is making money moves!
The multi-hyphenate, 54, inked a multi-year deal with BET, renewing his hit shows on the network.
Per Variety, under Tyler Perry’s deal, Tyler Perry’s Sistas and Tyler Perry’s The Oval have been renewed for seasons 8 and 6 respectively.
Tyler Perry’s House of Payne is also getting a sixth season on BET, which marks the 12th total season after the sitcom initially aired on TBS.
Tyler Perry’s Zatima, Tyler Perry’s Ruthless, Tyler Perry’s Bruh and All The Queen’s Men are also getting new seasons on the network.
Perry’s new crime drama Route 187 is also set to debut, telling the story of a series of violent incidents on a bus route.
The non-exclusive deal comes as Perry’s previous agreement with BET, which began in 2019, prepares to end.
BET Media Group president/CEO Scott Mills said,
“Tyler Perry is simply without rival as a creator of content that powerfully resonates with audiences across genres, formats, and platforms.”
Adding:
“Our programming partnership with Tyler – undoubtably the largest deal ever in the industry with a Black creator – has been hugely successful; delivering the number one series across all TV among Black audiences and five of the top 10 series on cable among Black viewers. The news also comes as Perry’s $800 million studio expansion was put on hold “indefinitely” amid AI developments.

She revealed on Instagram on Sunday (April 14), that she’s in the hospital after using a numbing cream to get a huge tattoo on her leg.
The reality star and entrepreneur told her 2.7 million followers in a video from the hospital bed,
“Listen up, people. Money Monster Sierra is officially admitted into the hospital until due notice. I love you guys so much. I just want to say again, if you are going to do Monster Numb and get your tattoos, do not get it crazy big like I did. Because when it numbs off you’re gonna be in crazy pain. And when you’re getting it done you’re gonna feel nothing.”
She added for those who have a higher tolerance of pain,
“Just be mindful that when the numbing cream wears off, you’re gonna start feeling it. And it’s gonna hurt, especially if it’s big like mine.”
She added that her tattoo runs from the top of her stomach to the bottom of her leg, ending by asking fans to pray for her, and wondering if she could still publish content while hospitalized.
On Monday (April 15), she shared footage of her struggling to walk with a walker and assistance from a medical staffer.
In a follow-up Instagram Story, she revealed,
“I couldn’t walk on my leg for the last 3 days.”
She added tha tshe wen tto the hospital and was given pain medication, howvever, when that “wore off”
“I couldn’t walk at all, I needed to stay in the hospital for dayssssss, I said ok God it’s me and you! I’m a real soldier I’ll be back better than ever!”
She said moving forward she is going to get smaller tattoos.

Logan proposed to Nina Agdal in during a trip to Italy in July. He shared a video of him popping the question on Instagram and wrote that his future wife,
“Turned me into a puddle.”
In the full video, his mother and brother Jake Paul made a cameo. Logan told Nina,
“You’re my best friend! We do everything together and trying to keep this a secret with as many moving pieces…You are the love of my life. You’re the girl of my dreams. Now that I’ve found you, I never want to let you go.”

Real Housewives of Potomac star Gordon Thornton has announced he’s been diagnosed with Bipolar I. He made the revelation during the third and final part of the Bravo reality show’s season 8 reunion that aired on Sunday (April 14).
He explained,
”The difference between Bipolar and Bipolar I is the degree of manic that you have.”
Mia Thornton, 31, then began to cry as her cast mates Wendy Osefo and Candiace Dillard Bassett comforted her.
Gordon Thornton, 71, continued,
“If there was a Bipolar II, or III or IV, quite frankly I would have those.”
According to the Cleveland Clinic, bipolar is a
“chronic mood disorder that causes intense shifts in mood, energy levels and behavior. Manic and hypomanic episodes are the main sign of the condition, and most people with bipolar disorder also have depressive episodes.”
Gordon Thornton said on Sunday night’s RHOP that the condition,
“Causes your mind to really work opposite. Your mind tricks you into saying, ‘You’re normal, everyone else is slow.”
Gordon noted that he was diagnosed about 2 1/2 years ago. However, he said he now realizes he has been battling it since his early 20s.
“My manic got worse over the years, as I gained more control, more power, more money.”
He added that while medication is available, he doesn’t believe it should be the only thing used to treat the disease, stating that it’s important for him to know the early stages of a manic episode.
Gordon said that he cannot tell when he’s having an episode, however, he stated that before their separation Mia Thornton could identify an episode and tell him, but he wouldn’t listen.
Mia Thornton and Gordon, who share two children, split in June. However, she filed for separation in September. The following month, Gordon had a shocking interview, alleging he had let her sleep with other men after he realized he wouldn’t be “able to satisfy her needs.”
He added at the time,
“Yet she still chooses to sneak around, chooses to lie, chooses to continually change her story about what’s going on and why she’s leaving me.”
Mia later said that interview was her “breaking point” and the moment she decided to end their 11-year marriage and file for divorce.
The couple’s marital woes were a key storyline for Mia this season. In the season finale, the exes addressed their separation in a raw scene that also confirmed Mia had begun seeing a former flame again. She said in part 1 of the reunion that their divorce is not finalized.
During the reunion, Gordon saluted Mia, for being “absolutely wonderful.” He said they’ve forgiven each other, and he believes if he would’ve “gotten control of this manic behavior sooner, Mia wouldn’t have left me.”
“I don’t think she left me because she wanted to be someplace else. She left me because she couldn’t take this anymore.”
Gordon also began to cry before he shared he once checked into a hospital and Mia came to take care of him, visiting him nearly every day.
Mia said she will always be there to take care of Gordon.

John Amos Speaks On Recently Closed Elder Abuse Investigation, Says He Will Share The ‘Real Truth’ Surrounding His Daughter’s Allegations Soon
Actor John Amos is ready to leave his daughter’s claims in the past.
As previously reported, last year the “Good Times” star’s daughter came forward with allegations that her dad was a victim of elder abuse. John Amos denied the claims. However, according to Shannon Amos, her brother, Kelly “K.C.” Amos, who is the celeb’s caregiver, was subjecting their dad to ill-treatment. Shannon Amos’ allegations eventually caught the attention of Adult Protective Services, which prompted the LAPD to launch an investigation last month. However, news recently broke that due to a lack of evidence, the case was closed.
During a newly published interview with PEOPLE, John Amos addressed the closed case and shared that his “real truth” will be revealed soon. He said,
“I want to first of all thank the LAPD for their professionalism and thoroughness in their investigation in which they concluded that I am doing well. This is the same thing I have been saying all along in my response to the media.”
And continued,
“Furthermore, I am even more determined to complete production on the documentary film that my son and I are producing. It will shed light on the real truth as to the motives of those who have painted a false narrative about me. I am John Amos and quite frankly this mess is bringing out James Evans to stay.”

Around the time the investigation ended, Shannon Amos expressed her disappointment in the matter. In part, she said,
“While I acknowledge the efforts of the LAPD on my father’s case, I am disappointed with their conclusion since no one from my family has seen or spoken to my father since July 2023, when K.C. Amos, Eugene Brummet, and Belinda Foster removed him from a medical facility against doctors’ orders.”
Shannon Amos also said that she’s still receiving “evidence that raises concerns over” her father’s well-being.
While John Amos concluded with,
“I learned something very valuable some years ago that I reference in my work and all that I do. Stand on the truth and stay there. it won’t let you down. The truth will stand up for you. The LAPD’s conclusion of their investigation along with my upcoming documentary each stand on that same truth. I’m good and the best is yet to come. Believe it.”

Early Thursday (April 11), Quavo dropped the deluxe version of his 11:11 album, featuring a song called “Freak.”
In the single, he noticeably name-drops Quavo and The Migos, rapping,

He continues,

It’s not exactly clear what girl Chris Brown was referring to, but back in 2022, Quavo was spotted seemingly on vacation with the “Deuces” singer’s ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.
The two also allegedly dated in 2017. Rumors of their romance appeared to be confirmed when Chris Brown’s team and Quavo had an altercation at the BET Awards after-party that year.
Sources at the party said at the time that Brown had debuted his and Future’s music video at the Microsoft Theater in downtown L.A.When the Migos walked in, they ran into Brown and a member of the singer’s entourage allegedly shoved Quavo, causing the Migos to jump in. NFL star Tevin Coleman and his wife Akilah Murib Coleman are opening up about their daughter’s life with sickle cell.
On Tuesday (April 9), the couple shared via a joint Instagram post that their 6-year-old daughter Nazaneen had been on a ventilator.
The pair, who are also parents to Nazaneen’s twin brother Nezerah, posted touching footage of Nazaneen recovering in the hospital. Akilah Murib Coleman wrote in the caption,
“A short story about the most resilient girl I know. Nazaneen spent some time on a BiPAP ventilator machine which essentially means she couldn’t breathe on her own & needed the machine to expand her lungs & breathe for her. She also received her first blood transfusion.”
Akilah Murib Coleman went on to salute her husband’s strength and continued,
“I admire & envy the self control @teco_raww26 has because when Nazaneen was placed on the ventilator I fell to my knees hyperventilating. I was swinging in & out of consciousness, it’s a feeling unexplainable watching your child literally fight to breathe. Tevin managed to calm my spirit while managing his own. I’m so sorry for that because it doesn’t leave space for him to go through the motions.”
Expressing her real and raw emotions, the mom of two, who appeared in season 15 of Real Housewives of Atlanta, shared how difficult it is to see her child suffer, and explained why she is so open about Nazaneen’s journey.
“It’s really hard for any parent to be this kind of vulnerable & transparent but we feel it’s important because we share so many of our highs & our successions that it would be disingenuous & misleading not to share this. I’ve realized one of the hardest things for me to do as a parent, wife & woman is to surrender. I cannot always control the outcome & that is such a hard pill to swallow.”
She shared that the experience is “humbling” yet “inspiring” as money and celebrity status cannot “alter” the outcome.
Nazaneen’s classmates also sent her audio, telling her they missed her and “hope you feel better.”
Akilah said of the heartfelt moment, which was included in the video,
“She listened to that message more times than I can count. Even when she couldn’t speak & all she could do was cry that audio was on repeat for two weeks in the hospital. I think it kept her spirits up & determined to fight. It serves as a reminder of the power of friendship no matter the age! ??

Akilah and Tevin Coleman have been open about their daughter’s journey with sickle cell and are advocates for raising awareness about the condition. According to the National Institutes of Health, it is “an inherited blood disorder that affects hemoglobin, the protein that carries oxygen through the body.”

Michigan School Shooter’s Parents Sentenced 10 – 15 Years In Prison Following Guilty Manslaughter Verdict
The parents of mass shooter Ethan Crumbley were handed down a hefty prison sentence.
Reports state that a court judge ruled that James and Jennifer Crumbley must serve 10 – 15 years behind bars for their role in Ethan’s terrorism.
The verdict was given today (Tuesday, April 9th) in an Oakland County, Michigan courtroom. Earlier this year, the Crumbleys were each found guilty on four counts of involuntary manslaughter for providing their then 15-year-old son Ethan with a gun, which he used to open fire at Oxford High School in 2021, killing 4 people.
Their unprecedented case marks the first time parents have been held accountable for a teen/young adult mass shooting, which, unfortunately, is a recurring instance in America. Back in December of last year, Ethan was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the fatal incident.

During his parents’ trials, prosecutors argued that the Crumbleys had ample indications that Ethan was troubled and could have done more to prevent the shooting. They claimed that hours before the attack, Ethan’s school contacted them to discuss alarming images he drew of guns and gunshot victims. Instead of taking the matter seriously, Jennifer was accused of making light of the situation and failing to inform the school that she’d recently given Ethan a gun.

Additionally, text messages from Ethan from months prior to the shooting alleged that he reached out to his parents for help with his mental problems to no avail. The high schooler said he told his mother he was seeing demons and hearing voices and needed medical help which she allegedly laughed at. He sent a text to his friends subsequently that reportedly read:
“I want help but my parents don’t listen to me so I can’t get any help…I have zero help for my mental problems and it’s causing me to shoot up the fucking school.”
Adding about his father James:
“I actually asked my dad to take (me) to the Doctor yesterday but he just gave me some pills and told me to ‘Suck it up.”
