UPDATE: Megan Thee Stallion Blasts ‘Salacious’ Sexual Harassment Claims From Her Ex-Cameraman, Says It’s A Money Grab ‘To Embarrass Her’ & No Lawsuit Was Filed

Update (April 24, 2024): Megan Thee Stallion’s attorney is addressing her former videographer’s claims against her. Alex Spiro told Page Six on behalf of the Grammy winner,

“This is an employment claim for money — with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her. We will deal with this in court.”

Original Story (April 23, 2024): Rap star Megan Thee Stallion was recently hit with a civil lawsuit.

According to reports, the musician’s former cameraman took legal action against her recently, claiming he was sexually harassed by being forced to watch her have sexual relations with another woman.

Emilio Garcia reportedly filed the suit in a Los Angeles County court earlier today (Tuesday, April 22nd). In the filing, he alleged that his former client Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, fostered a toxic work environment for him after he was forced to watch Megan Thee Stallion and the woman have intercourse while in the car during a trip to Ibiza in June 2022.

The photographer claimed that he was “trapped” in a moving vehicle at the time and was sitting right next to the “Cobra” artist when “suddenly Stallion and one other woman start[ed] having sex right beside” him.

Garcia “could not get out of the car as it was both moving, and he was in the middle of nowhere in a foreign country.”

He said he was,

“embarrassed, mortified, and offended throughout the whole ordeal,” adding, “I felt uncomfortable. I was kind of frozen, and I was shocked. At kind of just be the overall audacity to do this right, right beside me.”

Emilio Garcia went on to claim that the following day, Megan Thee Stallion warned him “Don’t ever discuss what you saw.” Throughout the remainder of the trip, Garcia said his former boss began to grossly insult him, allegedly referring to him as a “fat b*tc” and making statements like:

“spit your food out”

And:

“you don’t need to be eating.”

Reflecting on what his attorney stated was “harassment was so severe or pervasive” that it created a “hostile, abusive work environment,” Garcia added during the interview:

“To hear someone who advocates about loving your body tell me these things…I felt degraded.”

In the suit, Garcia reportedly added that after they returned from the trip his pay structure was changed from a monthly flat rate to a pay-per-task system that required him to submit invoices for each assignment. He claimed the change caused him to do the same amount of work for less money and that Megan stopped utilizing his services more and more and began treating him differently. He says the situation ultimately made him lose income, noting that he quit his previous job to become a full-time cameraman for Megan in 2019 after a year of working together.

Attorneys for Garcia reportedly confirmed that he’s seeking a six-figure settlement for unpaid wages with interest, unpaid overtime wages, and other employee benefits at the legal rate. He’s also seeking statutory and wage penalties according to California labor laws, punitive damages according to proof, and costs he incurred, including attorney fees. It has not been reported that Megan nor anyone from her team has responded to the suit publicly at this time.
