Kehlani Announces New Album 'Crash' To Arrive In June

In April, Kehlani dropped "After Hours" as the first single from the upcoming album. The track, produced by Khris Riddick-Tynes and Alex Goldblatt, rose to No. 14 on Rhythmic Airplay and No. 40 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

The singer released a music video for "After Hours" last week and then teased a 30-second snippet of her upcoming single "Next 2 U," on Instagram and X, writing "when y'all want it."

Kehlani's previous album, Blue Water Road, which arrived in 2024, reached No. 13 on the Billboard 200 and No. 8 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Blue Note Entertainment Group and Black Radio Productions have unveiled a legendary lineup for their newly announced "Blue Note Jazz Festival Presents: The Black Radio Experience."

"Blue Note Jazz Festival Presents: The Black Radio Experience" will be hosted by Sway Calloway. It is scheduled to take place on August 30 to September 1 at The Meritage Resort & Spa.

Inspired by the event's Artist In Residence, Grammy-winning Robert Glasper, The Black Radio Experience "is an immersive journey into the soul of music, transcending boundaries and celebrating the rich tapestry of Black culture."

Headliners include John Legend, Jill Scott and Andre 3000, and performances by Andra Day, Common, Nile Rodgers, Ledisi and more.

"Every year our festival in Napa brings a unique vibe, and this year we are bringing you the Black Radio Experience during Labor Day weekend with a dope list of artists for an exclusive hang," said Robert Glapser.

Other stars set to perform include Tank and The Bangas, Cimafunk, Marcus Miller, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Madlib, Christian McBride, Pete Rock, Joel Ross, Terrace Martin, Jahi Sundance, Kendrick Scott, Derrick Hodge, Marsha Ambrosius, Eric Roberson, RC & The Gritz, DJ Aktive, Bryan Michael-Cox, Musiq Soulchild and more.

Hotel packages run from $2,250 per person to $3,400 per person, with three-day GA passes starting at $499.

Prince's 'Purple Rain' To Be Released In 4K Ultra HD For 40th Anniversary

Warner Brothers is set to release Prince's Purple Rain on 4K Ultra HD and digital platforms on June 25th in celebration of the iconic film's 40th anniversary.

Prince, who made his acting debut with Purple Rain, starred as The Kid in the movie, alongside Apollonia Kotero, Morris Day, Olga Karlatos, and Clarence Williams III.

Albert Magnoli directed the film, co-writing the screenplay with William Blinn. Robert Cavallo, Joseph Ruffalo, and Steven Fargnoli produced the film, and Prince composed and produced the original songs.

The film won the Academy Award for Best Original Song Score (Prince), the Grammy Award for Best Album of Original Score Written for a Motion Picture or Television Special (Prince and the Revolution), and the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture (Prince).

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc will include the theatrical version of the feature film in 4K with HDR and a Digital download of the film.

For the 40th anniversary of Purple Rain, the film has been completely restored digitally from an 8K scan of the 35 mm Original Camera Negative (OCN), and audio has also been restored from the original Dolby Stereo (LCRS) archived 35 mm magnetic film source elements containing the separate dialogue, music, and effects (DME) tracks.

The special edition features commentary by director Albert Magnoli, producer Robert Cavallo, and cinematographer Donald E. Thorin as well as music videos for "Let's Go Crazy," "Take Me With U," "When Doves Cry," "I Would Die 4 U/Baby I'm a Star," "Purple Rain," "Jungle Love," "The Bird," and "Sex Shooter.
